An Introduction…

Hi, my name is Steve Nicel and together with the artists I collaborate, we collectively form the heart of Steve Nicel Music and our licensed music pursuit.

As an experienced producer, professional drummer & bass player, I have worked with a broad range of artists over the last 3 decades. I’ve had the privilege of playing music with some of Australia’s finest creators, and currently collaborate with writers around the globe to bring you music perfect for syncing to picture.

Live Performance Highlights Include: Manly International Jazz Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Byron Bay Blues Festival, National | International Promotional Band Tours with Singer/Songwriter Geoff Achison, Channel 9 TV Appearances. Channel 31 Live.

Music | Life

I believe that life and music are very closely linked. One is not exclusive of the other and often work in tandem. The two elements blend together going beyond the popular role of performance and playing. Harmony, melody and lyrics helps support the visual elements that we experience everyday.

Being active in creating music also connects cultures, and often explains things that words alone have trouble expressing. It brings simplicity to our lives  when many things don’t make sense, and a strong voice to our soul which is globally universal no matter where you live.

I don’t want to underestimate the benefit music creation has on me, and how creating new music extends into my everyday life.
